Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 July 2026
The short version: we collect the handful of things you type into the waitlist form, we use them to tell you when Tribgo launches and to decide which city and category comes first, and we don't sell them to anyone. We also use Google Analytics to count visits - no ad tracking, and it never sees your contact details.
The longer version follows, and it describes what the code on this site actually does rather than what a template says.
1. Who we are
Tribgo is a pre-launch project run by a small team. This policy covers the Tribgo website and the waitlist form on it. For anything privacy-related - including having your details deleted - email contact@tribgo.com.
2. What we collect
Two separate things, kept separate: what you type into the waitlist form, and anonymous visit statistics (covered in section 5). There is no account, no login, no payment, and no precise location tracking.
From the waitlist form:
- Your name - so we can address you like a person when we get in touch.
- An email address or a WhatsApp number - whichever you choose to give us. One contact detail, your pick.
- Your city - as free text, because which cities are loudest decides where we launch first.
- The activities you're interested in - the chips you tick on the form.
- Anything you write in the "something else" box - a free-text answer about what you'd want Tribgo for.
We do not ask for, and have no way to collect, your date of birth, gender, address, photographs, contacts, or precise location.
3. Why we collect it
Three purposes, and nothing else:
- To tell you once when Tribgo launches in your city.
- To decide which city to launch in first, based on where signups are densest.
- To decide which activity categories to build after launch, based on what people ask for.
We will not use your contact details for marketing unrelated to Tribgo, and we will not sell them. Ever.
4. How your submission is handled
When you submit the form, your browser sends it directly to EmailJS, a third-party email delivery service, which turns it into an email and delivers it to our inbox. There is no Tribgo database: your submission lives in our email inbox and in EmailJS's delivery logs.
That means two processors handle your waitlist submission on our behalf - EmailJS (delivery) and our email provider (storage). Both are bound by their own privacy terms, and EmailJS's policy is worth reading if you'd like to know how they handle it. Google Analytics is a third processor, but it only ever sees page visits, never your form submission.
Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, which typically include IP addresses and browser user-agent strings. Those are generated by visiting any website and are used for security and reliability, not to profile you.
5. Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people actually read. It sets first-party cookies in your browser (named `_ga` and similar) that let it tell a returning visitor from a new one.
What we look at is deliberately narrow: how many people land on the site, which city and activity pages get read, and how many go on to join the waitlist. That last number is the entire point - without it we're guessing whether any of this is working.
What we don't do:
- No advertising or remarketing tags. We don't run ads, and we're not building audiences to target you elsewhere.
- We don't send your name, email or phone number to Google. Analytics sees page visits, not what you typed into the waitlist form - those are two separate paths.
- No cross-site tracking pixels from anyone else.
Google processes this data on our behalf and under its own privacy terms, including collecting your IP address to approximate which city and country you're in. If you'd rather not be counted, browser tracking protection, an ad blocker, or Google's official Analytics opt-out browser add-on will all stop it - none of that affects your ability to use the site or join the waitlist.
Two smaller technical things, for completeness:
- The waitlist form stores a single timestamp in your browser's local storage. It exists purely to stop the same visitor accidentally submitting the form repeatedly within a few seconds. It contains no personal data and never leaves your device.
- Our fonts are served from our own domain rather than fetched from Google, so loading a Tribgo page does not tell Google you visited.
6. How long we keep it
Until it has served its purpose - which means until we've launched in your city and told you about it - or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If Tribgo never launches, we will delete the waitlist rather than keep it around.
7. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and as a matter of basic decency, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete it entirely.
- Withdraw your consent, which means we take you off the waitlist.
Email contact@tribgo.com and we'll action it. Because the waitlist is a set of emails rather than a database, please write from the address you signed up with, or include the WhatsApp number you gave us, so we can find your entry.
8. Children
Tribgo isn't directed at children, and we ask that people under 18 don't join the waitlist. If you believe a child's details have been submitted, email us and we'll delete them.
9. Changes to this policy
Tribgo is being built, so this policy will change - most likely when we replace the email-based waitlist with a real database, or add analytics. When it changes materially we'll update the date at the top, and if you're on the waitlist we'll tell you rather than quietly editing the page.
10. Contact
Questions, requests or complaints: contact@tribgo.com. A real person reads it.
